About Delphi TVS
Delphi-TVS Technologies Ltd is a joint venture between PHINIA (erstwhile Delphi Technologies), USA and TVS Group to make fuel injection systems for diesel engines.
The Fuel Injection Project was started as a division of Lucas TVS in the late 1980’s when it was a JV between Lucas and TVS group. Subsequently there were changes in the ownership of the JV partner. The current JV partner, PHINIA was spun off from Borg Warner Inc and is now a listed entity in the US.
During all these transitions from one overseas partner to another, what has remained constant has been the continued commitment of the overseas partner to provide the latest technology to the joint venture as well as their keen interest to serve the customers in India.
With a track record of over 30 years when the company was setup in 1990, Delphi-TVS now serves all segments of the diesel engine market.
Delphi-TVS boasts of two manufacturing plants, at Mannur and Oragadam, and a Technical Centre (all near Chennai). Both manufacturing plants follow Japanese techniques of TPM and TQM as a philosophy. Products contain high level of localization through in-house manufacture and a network of supplier partners developed in India.
The Technical centre has over 200 engineers working on the latest generation of products to meet the current and future legislative requirements. All product development activities for Indian customers is serviced from the Tech Centre at Delphi-TVS.
Delphi-TVS currently produces 6 lakhs of diesel injection systems every year and the parc of vehicles using the company systems exceeds 80 Lakhs.
Delphi-TVS products are supported with over 300 service centres dedicated to diesel in India and PHINIA network worldwide.
